Obama, not just a pussy, but a stooopid pussy

So, our Prez has found somebody to whom he's willing to stand up and assert "American" interests. It's (drumroll please. . .) Honduras. Wow. Another ally gets the Blobama knee to the nuts. What a profile in courage. I wonder if Ahmedinijad has stopped laughing, yet?

Now, let's set aside whether this really is in America's best interests, brave or craven , bold or appeasing of those who oppose us, etc. Let's just consider this politicially for a second -- since that is where our guy and his team are really supposed to shine. If you're a Blobama supporter, are you really comfortable that your savior has just made himself 100% responsible for what happens in Honduras going forward? He and Hillary own that puppy outright -- whatever happens there will be charged to Blobama and his supporters.

If you're a Democrat, are you happy with that? Does that seem like a sharp play? Of all the potential outcomes (and in that part of the world, there are lots of those) only one or two of those are remotely positive, and both of them depend upon Zelaya behaving. So, our genius has basically bet his foreign policy authority on a Central American leader who would appear to have a fondness for dictatorial power. Compare that to just having letting the Hondurans work it out for themselves, just in terms of political price/benefit. Whatcha think?

No wonder Jimmy Carter loves this guy --- he's going to take his place at the bottom of the totem poll.

Who Knew Chicago Pols Were Such Pussies?

Poh wittoh Blobama iz getting quiticized by Fox News!

Awwwwwww!!!! Poh babeee! Have a cookie!

And to think he's got another three years plus! The entertainment possibilities for this clown show are making the whole "Bushism" thing seem miniscule by comparison.

Here's how bad it is: Biden is looking like the competent one in the bunch.

Bye bye military morale

And competence with it.

Sure Blowbama is concerned that there be a proper election outcome in order to help guide us to success (can't say "Victory" in our brave new world) in the Afghanistan "overseas contingency operation" -- it's just that the election he's concerned with is the one to be held here. It's becoming clearer by the second that partisan politics is driving our Commander in Chief to ruminate over this gimme of a military decision. Do the right thing before November and there's a chance that Democrat turnout is depressed and both Virginia and New Jersey governorships go Republican and perhaps a few congressional seats do, too, creating a perception of momentum against Nobel Barry and his not-so-well-received policies that is sufficient to scare off the moderate Dems whose votes he needs to mortgage America's future to buy Barry his spot on a stamp, bill or coin. Doesn't that make you wanna suit up for a trip outside the wire? Or does it make you think that your chain of command is no longer deserving of your services and sacrifice? Or that the sacrifices of your friends and their families are being pissed away by an arrogant, selfish ass?

I wonder if BO even considers the impact on morale of this sort of overt disregard for the military and their mission? I doubt it -- they work for him, right? Maybe he'll invite a couple of them over for some more color-coded beers.

Seems like a prudent CinC ought to be a bit more concerned about keeping the tip of the spear sharp - - and pointed at somebody else.

Harry Reid

Blowbama is getting pretty well hammered by -- pretty much everybody else, and with good reason. BTW, Anita Dunn, another FINE pick by our Self-Styled Savior in Chief. Could the woman be any more repulsive? I might want her on my team if I needed somebody to scare the neighbors or serve as a cautionary tale of the perils of being ignorant of history, but beyond that . . .

Anyway, back to the subject at hand: dear Harry.

Just heard his speech in the Sentate regarding "reforming" healthcare. Not one word of it was about the benefits of the proposed and Orwellian-labeled reform. There was no substance to it at all, just the standard deriding of those mythical opponents who oppose Harry's inspired vision just because they're bad people. They're like those poorly written opinions by Clarence Thomas Harry is able to rely upon in making decisions but utterly incapable of citing or even describing. I'm having a hard time believing Harry can read, given the volume of mean-spirited, unsubstantiated bull*&$ that comes out of his mouth. He's more of oleaginous, fertilizer-spewing shaman than anything else (but boy does he have a knack for real estate investing!).

Since there's no substance in Harry's latest tantrum to address, I'll have to keep my answer simple: F*&k you, too, Harry.

No, Jimmy

Sorry Jimmy, but your latest public pronouncement regarding the motivations of those opposing President Obama's policies (see this http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/09/15/carter.obama/index.html?section=cnn_latest) is just as off as pretty much everything else you've supported or stated during my lifetime (I'm 45 -- you're remarkably consistent).

See, the people in the streets opposing this massive expansion of government don't give a fig that he's black -- the only people who seem to think it matters are liberals and the self-deluded who buy into the notion that a vote for BO punched their "Highly Evolved" card.

Nope -- the reason most of these people are out there, Jimmy, is because this arrogant, inexperienced, classless, whiny douchebag of a president reminds them of you and your Hindenburg of a presidency.

Now, go get something else wrong.

Obama's Friends, continued

Add ACORN to the list of associations with our fine Chief Executive. And the Knee Pad Media seem to take great care in ignoring the story. I guess they figure they already own the Obama presidency, they might as well try and make it a success -- even if it means eviscerating their credibility and their shareholders' assets in the process.

How is ACORN not up on RICO charges, yet? Oh, and I hear they're thinking of suing the filmmakers -- good luck with that, douchebags-- Can't wait for the discovery motions and depositions. The sad thing is, the organization will just dissolve and re-emerge under some other b.s. acronym advocating "social justice", and that'll be just fine with everybody. After all, if Mary Jo Kopechne doesn't matter, why would some underaged kid hookers?

p.s. Rep. Joe Wilson needs to take some lessons from fellow member Pete Stark regarding decorum and civility -- there are, apparently, rules for calling out a President for lying, even when he's doing it to your face like a privileged punk.

Obama's Friends

After reading this: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2009/0723092gates1.html

and hearing Obama claim Gates as one of his friends, I'm beginning to wonder if Obama has any friends (Ayers, Rev. Wright, Tony Rezko, etc.) who aren't total assholes.

As the saying goes, you're known by the company you keep and Obama appears to have very poor taste in friends.

Sorry Grandma -- it's painkillers and no surgery for you!

Our fearless leader bravely babbles bullshit to a lady asking a fairly straightforward question as to how treatment decisions (read: rationing) will be made under our benevolent b.s. artist's version of the Canadian/British health care system:

Couple this with the Sotomayor perjury-fest, and we have been presented with the most compelling argument imaginable for discontinuing affirmative action.

I question their patriotism

Read this post (http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=OTYyMzE1MjdmOGY5ZjAyZGM1ZGE4ZWQwZTVhYjA4NzU=), and the report cited in it and explain the rest of how Pelosi and Reid have the best interests of this country at heart. I don't advocate violence against them, but it sure would be understandable and deserved.

Maybe Obama can apologize for them, too.

It's a duck.

All credit to the late Groucho: Walks like a Chicago faux populist, self-absorbed ignoramus, talks like a Chicago faux populist, self-absorbed ignoramus, he's a Chicago faux populist, self-absorbed ignoramus.

There were hopes for this guy, despite the glaring warning signs and complete lack of resume, but after his first 100 days it's pretty clear that this hopey/changy bullshit artist is a liability for the country (the majority of which he appears to despise). The only questions now are: (a) how much damage will he and his clown posse do?; and (b) how long will they be allowed to do it?

The media can blow him all they want (and they appear to be insatiable for it), but facts are stubborn things.

Screw him. Anybody else in 2012.

Recent Thoughts

Man, have I been lazy!

Here's a few things that I am only now getting around to posting.

1. Obama and the "Special Olympics" kerfuffle: GET OVER IT! It's one of the few things that he said that seems genuinely funny and self-deprecating. If this is the route past $%&#ing Political Correctness, the Special Olympians truly will be heroes. There is so much more that Big O says that should be called to account. Then again, I would like the special bowler to go to the White House and wax The One.

2. If the Republicans are unable to explain why the Democrats in Congress and the Clinton Administration are primarily to blame for the housing/AIG meltdown, they don't deserve to be in government at all. It's an easy story: tell it.

3. Did anybody notice that Obama more or less wrote off the billions of taxpayer dollars already given to GM and Chrysler this morning? Shouldn't somebody, you know, say something about that?

4. Ron Gettlefinger is, in my humble opinion, the principal architect and stumbling block of any meaningful recovery for US Automakers. If you're going to fire Wagoner (or however you spell it), you ought to fire Gettlefinger, as well. The man adds NOTHING constructive to what is a very serious set of negotiations to try and save a rather important domestic industry.

5. Did anybody see the Talking Head for the Democrats being interviewed on Fox this morning (yes, I watch Fox -- tar and feather me) alongside Rich Galen. He actually tried to blame the Republicans for AIG bonuses and the rest of the bailout nonsense. Note to Democrats: you are in charge, you own this, and you're still whining like a bunch of thirteen year-old girls. And you are governing about as effectively as a bunch of thirteen year-old Special Olympians.

Been carrying those around for a bit. Thanks for tuning in.

Now can we question their patriotism?

So, during the campaign (and really, during the last eight years or so) Democrats have equated decency and love of country with support for and payment of higher taxes. I particularly remember our most prepared Vice President ever (self-described), Joe Biden, saying something to the effect that paying taxes, especially higher taxes, was patriotic.

And now the magnificent One nominates one Democratic heavy hitter after another that has shown, at best, a willful disregard for paying taxes. In my opinion, Geitner and Daschle are guilty of tax fraud. His O-ness had to know about these "issues" before announcing these nominations (if he didn't his vetting team is a bunch of clowns), meaning he was cool with it.

So, by their own standards, Democrats patriotism is open to question.

By pretty much any normal standard, its been questionable to non-existent for the last six years, given their conduct around and political exploitation of the war.

If Joe Biden wants to explain how his comments were taken out of context, I'll meet him at Katie's restaurant.

Personal Opinion: General Electric Sucks

If you are considering buying a General Electric product, I strongly urge you to consider every other alternative. I have a GE Monogram product and getting it repaired has been a singularly unsatisfactory and frustrating experience. They have been horrible to deal with and I will be amazed if they ever actually fix their appliance, as their conduct so far has me questioning their basic competence. Having a bunch of call-center workers mechanically reciting expressions of understanding and sympathy appears to be their answer to utter failure to actually provide customer service.

No wonder their business is going in the crapper.

You may have no choice, but if you do, choose another manufacturer.

Victor Davis Hanson

How good is this guy?

Read today's post here: http://pajamasmedia.com/victordavishanson/an-uneasy-feeling/

He pretty much nails it -- the next to last paragraph about the media is particularly on target.

The thing is, his posts are this good just about every day.

I wish I'd studied more in school.

Geitner

Or however you spell it.

The guy very clearly decided not to pay taxes he KNEW he owed -- but it's "Nothing to see here! Move along!" and confirmation from the Dems in Congress.

Hillary is confirmed despite concerns about the appearance of impropriety because any concerns about donations will be evaluated by the Department she runs. It's only a matter of time before we are revisiting the meaning of "is".

It's pretty clear that Godmother Pelosi and Thin Reid regard ethics as a weapon only.

I'm feeling really hopeful and marvelling at "The Change".

Why I can't take the Dems seriously

Harry Reid

Yeah, the wretched stench of corruption is off-putting and Dems' continued preachiness about the awfulness of Republicans is disgusting, but that has been Democratic politics, if not politics in general, for a long time.

But the Dems used to have capable, if annoyingly partisan and disingenous, leaders like Daschle, Mitchell, O'neil and Foley.

Pelosi is tough to take, but it's Harry Reid who utterly ruins the Dems' shot at credibility -- on anything. I hear he's a former boxer. I'm betting he got his ass kicked. A lot.
